Add Room Information Add Room Features Add Room Image Room Calendar

Rooms on a map include spaces like conference rooms, break rooms, mothers' rooms, and more. You can add information about these rooms so that employees visiting the office know what features the room offers.

Add Room Information

To add room information, follow the steps below:

  1. Navigate to the Locations tab.
  2. In the top menu, click Manage Rooms.
  3. Select the room you would like to edit and click the Edit Room icon. A popup box appears.
  1. Update information such as room name, size, or capacity. You can also change whether the room is reservable or not. 
  2. Once changes are complete, click OK to confirm.

Add Room Features

The Room Features tab displays what features/equipment are available for use in the room. To update the features displayed, follow the steps below:

  1. From the main menu, navigate to the Map Editor tab.
  2. Open the desired map.
  3. Click on the desired room within the map.
  4. In the Room menu that appears to the right, click the Room Features button.
  1. Click to select room features:
  1. Once you are finished adding features, click the Save button.
  2. Save and close out of the map.

Add Room Image

Room images can be added in either the Locations tab or the Map Editor tab. The instructions below outline how to add an image within the Locations tab.

  1. Navigate to the Locations tab.
  2. In the top menu, click Manage Rooms. 
  3. Select the room and click the Edit Room icon.
  4. In the popup box, click on the Room Image tab.
  5. Click the Load Image button.
  6. Select an image from your device to upload. 
  7. Once it loads, click on the box over the image, and drag it to indicate which section of the image you want to appear. Note: You can also click on the corners of the box to expand the size of the image. You may also use the Rotate Right and Rotate Left buttons to rotate the image.
  8. Once you are satisfied with the image selected, click Set Image to confirm. 
  9. Click OK to finalize changes.

Room Calendar

The Room Calendar allows Maptician to sync room calendar events between Maptician's internal reservation calendar and an external calendar. This sync may be uni-directional or bi-directional, depending on the selection. Note: External calendar sync must be enabled in the environment for this feature.
