Maptician notification emails include an Unsubscribe link. The link opens a Manage Notifications page where you choose which emails of that type you receive. Maptician is adding notification types to this feature over time, so the list of supported types below will grow.

Before You Begin

  • No login required: The Manage Notifications page opens directly from the email. You do not need to sign in to Maptician.
  • One page per notification type: Each notification type has its own Manage Notifications page. Changes on one page do not affect any other notification type.
  • Supported types only: Only the notification types listed under Supported Notification Types below can be managed this way today. Other Maptician emails continue to send as before.
  • Emails only: These preferences currently control emails. Text messages are not affected.

ℹ️ NOTE

Looking to stop Service Notification emails? See How can I suppress Service Notification emails?.

Open Your Notification Preferences

  1. Open a Maptician email for the notification type you want to manage.
  2. Scroll to the bottom of the email. Next to Tired of seeing emails like this?, select Unsubscribe.
  3. The Manage Notifications page opens in your browser. It shows each email for that notification type, with a checkmark next to every email you currently receive.

💡 TIP

Some email providers, such as Gmail, show their own Unsubscribe option next to the sender name. Using it turns off that email right away, the same as unchecking it on the Manage Notifications page.

Supported Notification Types

These notification types currently have a Manage Notifications page. Select a notification type to see the emails it includes. A checked email means you receive it.

↳ Reservation Requests

The Reservation Request Emails page includes:

  • New reservation request submitted: Sent when someone submits a room request that needs your review. Only Request Managers for a location receive this email.
  • Reservation request rejected: Sent when a reservation request you submitted is rejected.

Request Managers can also manage the new request email inside Maptician. In Settings > Preferences, the Suppress Meeting Room Request Notifications checkbox is the same preference as New reservation request submitted, so the two always stay in sync. Because the Settings option suppresses emails, it shows the opposite state: checked in Settings means unchecked on the Manage Notifications page.

Turning off these emails does not change the requests themselves. Request Managers still see pending requests in Maptician, and you can still check the status of your own requests. See How do I submit a room reservation request or manage my requests?.

↳ Parcels

The Parcel Notifications page includes:

  • New parcel arrived: Sent when a package is logged for you and ready for pickup.
  • Parcel pickup reminder: Sent as a reminder that a package is still waiting for pickup.

Parcel text messages are not listed on this page. If you turn off parcel emails, you still receive parcel text messages when a Parcel Manager sends them.

Save Your Changes

Choose Individual Emails

  1. Check each email you want to keep receiving. Uncheck each email you want to stop.
  2. Select Save Preferences.
  3. A Preferences saved message appears at the top of the screen to confirm the change.

Unsubscribe from All

Select Unsubscribe from all to uncheck and save every email on the page in one step. This only affects the notification type on that page. For example, unsubscribing from all reservation request emails does not turn off parcel emails.

Start Receiving Emails Again

Open the Unsubscribe link from any earlier email of the same notification type, check the emails you want, and select Save Preferences. New emails resume from that point.

Troubleshooting

  • Link Not Found: If the page shows "This unsubscribe link is invalid or has expired.", the link may have been copied incorrectly. Open it again directly from the email. If the message continues, contact your Maptician technical contact.
  • Still receiving emails after unsubscribing: Confirm the Preferences saved message appeared, then reopen the link to check that the email is unchecked. If it is unchecked and emails continue, contact your Maptician technical contact.
