We are excited to introduce our new Buffer Times feature, designed to enhance your scheduling efficiency! This release also brings several enhancements, including the addition of more Points of Interest (POIs), a Visitor Management Permission Group option, and an option to auto-enable Teams Meetings for reservations.

Buffer Times

You asked, and we listened! Introducing Buffer Times: a seamless way to account for transition periods before and after room and seat reservations. Now, users can set global, default buffer times for seat and room resources, or depending on permission group, can set custom times before and after reservations. Click here to learn more.

Pro Tip: Only Account Admins have permission to enable/disable buffer times and set the default values. To note, Buffer Times are not currently supported by Outlook.

Points of Interest Added and Updated

Numerous points of interest options have been added/updated in the Map Editor section. These include:

• Drop-in Work Area
• Shredder
• Supplies
• Kitchen with options for vending, fridge, ice machine, coffee, and flavored water
• Break Room now includes options for ice machine and flavored water
• Restroom now includes options for lockers and showers
• Mail Room now includes options for courier and interoffice mail
• Lactation Room now includes a sink as an option
• Wellness Room now includes options for fridge and sink
• Copy/Print Center now has an updated default name and includes options for reprographic service and print supplies
• Keyless Entry and Key Card Reader now include icon size options
• Emergency Exit now includes a variable arrow length and can be oriented in any direction

Pro Tip: The more valuable the information in Maptician, the more essential the app will become for users. Ensure your floorplans are filled with useful details! Additionally, make sure to train users on how to search for points of interest (POIs) on both mobile and desktop. 

Visitor Management Permission Option

You now have the ability to allow specific permission groups the option to pre-register visitors without seeing the full list of visitors across the organization. To set this, go to Occupants > Permission Groups > Visitor Management dropdown. This permission option allows group members to customize visitor management views in up to six different ways. Enable Teams Meetings Automatically

A Teams Meeting can now automatically be enabled when creating a new reservation. To automatically enable a Teams reservation, go to Settings > MSFT Teams Integration and select "Enable Teams Meeting by Default for Reservations". Click "Save Changes".
