A Rebuilt, More Reliable Scenarios Experience
Scenarios have been rebuilt to be a dependable part of your planning process. A scenario is now a true sandbox: nothing you do inside one touches your live map until you explicitly choose to implement it, and implementing requires the right permissions and a clear confirmation step. If a scenario would affect existing reservations, or would deactivate a live map, you are told before anything changes.
The Scenario Manager has been redesigned around a navigable Office, Map, and Scenario tree with inline search, so finding the right scenario takes seconds even across many offices and floors. Selecting one gives you a preview with layer toggles and object highlighting, headline metrics, and expandable detail down to individual seats, rooms, zones, occupants, points of interest, signage, and security objects. You can branch, rename, delete, and implement directly from the same screen, and hand off to the Map Editor or Assignments Manager without losing your place.
You can also print a scenario report with the sections you choose, making it easier to review plans with stakeholders who do not work in Maptician day-to-day.
➡️ How does the Scenario tool work?

Set Yourself as Unavailable
Do Not Disturb gives you a way to signal that you should not be interrupted, on desktop and mobile alike. Turn it on from the moon icon in your desktop sidebar or the moon button in the mobile Home header, and your status updates immediately everywhere, with no refresh needed, on either device.
Once it is on, a Do Not Disturb badge appears on your profile image across the Occupant Directory, Manage Occupant Presence, dashboard widgets, map search, and seat details, along with the mobile People page, favorites, tag member lists, and person detail views. Opening someone's profile also shows how long they have had Do Not Disturb on, in their own time zone. Seat signage displays a clear Do Not Disturb banner. It works alongside your existing presence status, online, remote, or on leave, rather than replacing it.

Set Hybrid Schedules Through Bulk Upload
You can now set an occupant's hybrid schedule, required days in office, time period, and schedule comments, through both the bulk occupant upload and the public Occupants API, instead of entering it one person at a time.
➡️ API - POST /json/occupants/
Seat Restriction Data Now Available Through the API
If you build your own reporting on top of Maptician's data, the GET ext/v1/seats/ and ext/v1/seats/{seatID}/ public APIs now expose any seat restrictions for reservable seats set in the Map Editor, whether a desk is restricted at all, and which departments, groups, or individuals are allowed to reserve it. The APIs also surface the seat's Remove Restrictions based on Time setting from that same Restrictions tab. This is an additive change, so nothing about your existing API integration needs to change.
➡️ API - GET ext/v1/seats/
➡️ API - GET ext/v1/seats/{seatID}/
Filter the Hybrid Schedule Utilization Report by Department and Title
The Hybrid Schedule Utilization report now includes Department and Title columns alongside each occupant's name, along with matching filters at the top of the report. Filtering by either narrows the results and recalculates totals just like the report's existing filters.
Bug Fixes
- Duplicating a room, zone, or section in the Map Editor could cause it to lose its "Always Shade Area" shading once you clicked away, requiring you to manually toggle the setting off and back on to restore it. Duplicated shapes now keep this setting automatically.
- Moving a pending, approval-required reservation to a different room could leave the original room's calendar hold in place in Outlook. The original room's calendar now releases that hold when the reservation moves off it, so the room can be booked again instead of showing a false conflict.
- The Door Maplink color you saved in the Map Editor could revert to black instead of holding, both in the Map Editor and in exported map images.
- Clicking directly on certain icons in the Map Viewer toolbar and group picker screens had no effect. This has been corrected, along with an occasional error that could prevent a map from loading correctly in the Map Viewer.
- Someone could remain shown as Remote on the map even after arriving in the office. Presence now updates correctly, so an in-office status takes precedence as expected.
- Presence based on Microsoft sign-in activity could show intermittent gaps when a lookup to Microsoft did not complete. Presence is now recorded for everyone identified before an interruption, so status stays current more consistently.
