Features Added

See Attendee Availability Before You Book

When adding attendees to a reservation on desktop, you can now see each person's real-time availability from their Microsoft 365 calendar right on the reservation form. Each attendee shows a Free, Tentative, Busy, or Unknown badge, so you can spot conflicts before you send an invite, without ever exposing meeting details, only their status.

Account admins can turn this on and choose which Microsoft connections to use from Settings.

➡️ How do I set up Free/Busy Attendee Availability?

Move and Reorganize Room-Organized Reservations Safely

When a reservation is organized directly by a room in Outlook rather than by a person, moving it was not always available in Maptician. The Move functionality now handles that safely: removing the organizing room, or moving the reservation to a new room, keeps the meeting intact by promoting a remaining room to organizer instead of cancelling everything.

If a reservation has a managed Teams, Zoom, or Webex meeting, moving it now also gives you the choice to keep the existing meeting link or generate a fresh one.

➡️ How can I move an existing reservation?

Switch Between Day and Week Views in My Tasks

My Tasks now includes a Day/Week toggle, so you can focus on a single day's tasks or see the full week at a glance. Your navigation, filters, and chosen view all carry over as you switch between the two.

➡️ How do I manage my tasks from my home tab?

My Tasks Remembers Your Filters

My Tasks now remembers each user's filter selections and visible week, so navigating away and back no longer resets your working view.

A Cleaner, More Consistent Icon System

We have refreshed the icon set across the entire platform, desktop, Map Editor, mobile, signage, and login screens included, replacing the legacy icon set with a modern, consistently weighted icon library. The result is a cleaner, more polished look throughout Maptician, with no change to how any feature works.

Reports Remember Where You Left Off

Every report with a location, department, occupant, lease, service type, or time range selector now remembers your last-used scope and filters. Refreshing the page or navigating away and back keeps your selections in place instead of resetting to blank.

Scheduled Room Setup Worksheet Reports Now Show Their Service Scope

When a scheduled Room Setup Worksheet report is limited to specific services, the emailed subject line and file name now reflect that scope too, matching what you already see with ad hoc exports.

Bug Fixes

  • Added diagnostics for Outlook add-in SSO failures. Sign-in errors now show a support code mapped from the Office error family, the server logs structured reason codes instead of failing silently, and admins can check the tenant's resolved Entra values right from Settings.
  • Fixed an issue where a reservation's Service Requirements note wasn't showing up in MyTasks, so it now appears on task details, live updates, and printed or exported task orders, matching every other place it already showed.
  • Fixed an issue where changing the time or pattern of a whole recurring series still waiting on approval could strand the room's Outlook "Pending Reservation Request" hold and create a duplicate at the new time. Also fixed a related bug where cancelling a waiting recurring series was not releasing its hold at all.
  • A recurring meeting could occasionally stop syncing from Outlook to Maptician after being updated. Syncing now resumes automatically, so changes made in Outlook reliably reach Maptician.
  • Submitting a bulk department upload could leave the upload window frozen without showing results or completing, and the first row of the spreadsheet could be skipped. Bulk department uploads now process every row and complete as expected.
  • Using the Update option under Occupant Management > Bulk Import could return a "Bulk Operation Error" instead of applying your changes. Bulk updates now process correctly, so there is no longer any need to work around it using the Create option.

Coming Soon

A Redesigned, More Trustworthy Scenarios Experience

We are rebuilding Scenarios from the ground up to make it a tool you can rely on for real planning work. A redesigned Scenario Manager will make it easier to navigate, compare, and act on your scenarios, while stronger safeguards behind the scenes ensure your live map is never touched until you explicitly choose to implement your changes.

For preview purposes only. Appearance and functionality are subject to change.

Setting Your Status as Unavailable

Do Not Disturb is coming to Maptician, giving you a way to flag yourself as unavailable. Once it is on, that status will show up everywhere your presence already appears: occupant lists, the Directory, dashboard widgets, etc., plus a clear banner on seat signage. It works alongside your existing presence status (online, remote, on leave), not in place of it.

For preview purposes only. Appearance and functionality are subject to change.
