Features Added Group Restrictions for Resources and Delegation Permissions Avigilon (OpenPath) Video Reader Integration for Visitor Access Meeting Room Request Notification Suppression Bug Fixes

Features Added

Group Restrictions for Resources and Delegation Permissions

It is now possible to configure groups of users to be the only permitted users for any resource type, including rooms, seats, parking, assets, and lockers. Similar to how resources can be restricted to certain individuals or departments, groups can now be added using the Map Editor.

This is especially useful when groups are configured to include occupants automatically based on their title, allowing resources to be effectively restricted by an occupant's title within your organization.

➡️ Seat Settings - Restricted Reservations

Along with resource restrictions, groups of users can also be added to an individual's delegation permissions, allowing them to reserve on behalf of group members as needed.

➡️ Granting an individual delegation permission

Avigilon (OpenPath) Video Reader Integration for Visitor Access

We have added an integration with Avigilon (previously known as OpenPath) Video Readers that allows visitors to unlock entry points using their Maptician visitor QR codes. After checking in, visitors can scan their QR code at entry points equipped with Avigilon Video Readers to gain access to specific areas for the day of their scheduled visit.

Note: The OpenPath settings in Maptician have moved from the Presence tab to the Environment tab.

Meeting Room Request Notification Suppression

Users who are configured as Request Managers for a location now have the option to suppress the email notifications they receive when a user submits a meeting room request form.

➡️ Suppress Meeting Room Request Notifications

Bug Fixes

  • Resolved an issue where the Maptician Access Log report was not returning data for the current day as expected.
  • Resources that are deleted or no longer marked as reservable in the Map Editor will now correctly remove any associated reservations. A warning message will appear for all resources when saving the map to alert users of this change.
