Overview
A pre-authentication link is a URL that, when accessed from a web browser, will take you directly to the Maptician signage that you are trying to set up. The examples below are illustrated using Meeting Room Signage, but can be applied to all other Maptician signage.
Generating or Replacing a Login URL
🚨 WARNING
Generating a New Login URL immediately invalidates the room's previous Login URL. Update the link anywhere it is stored, printed, or embedded (signage panel, printed signs, embedded displays) before you generate a new one, or that device will be locked out until it is updated.
If a room has no Login URL yet, or you want to replace its current one, follow these steps:
- Go to IT & Cloud > Meeting Room Signage.
- Select the room's device card to open its Details panel.
- If a Login URL already exists, use Copy URL to copy it. To replace it, select New Login URL among the device controls in the Details panel.
ℹ️ NOTE
If opening a Login URL shows "Invalid Link," check that the room's device card reads ONLINE on the Manage Meeting Room Signage page. A Login URL for a device that is currently OFFLINE will not resolve.
